Doro wot is a famous Ethiopian dish. In order to make doro wot we should know what it means. The translation of doro wot is chicken and wot stands for sauce or for the juiciness. Doro wot can be cooked in two different ways. The first and very famous way is spicy doro wot. It is very well known and loved by Ethiopians and it’s also one of my favorites. Our other choice is blended which is uncommon to make in many Ethiopian Kitchens.

Cooking doro wot might not be fun sometimes. It usually takes from 2-3 hours to make it ready. I personally enjoy cooking doro wot and I think you will too if you follow theses few steps and order to make it.

The first step is to separate the chicken body parts into 12 pieces and wash it until it is highly clean for about 30-40 minutes. Afterwards you must make sure you have all the ingredients you need.
Gather these ingredients: 8 large finely chopped onions, 2 cups of oil, 2 spoonfuls of garlic and ginger. ½ cups of Beriberi (Ethiopians spice, a flower made from jalapenos) Ethiopian butter (your choice, it helps to make it look shiny), 1 spoonful of salt, 12 boiled eggs, and 1-3 large cups of water.

The second step is to sauté the onions with oil for about 15 minutes, then put in the finely chopped garlic and ginger together. At this point, you must put in a small amount of water every 5 minutes and mix it every 2 or 3 minutes.

The third and the second main point after having cleaned chicken is putting in the Beriberi. Put ½ cups of beriberi, and make sure you mix it well and put in a cup of water. The water will make it juicy and help it to cook faster. It usually takes approximately 30-45 minutes until the beriberi is ready and is mixed with the other ingredients.

The last step is to put the clean chicken parts in and mix them in. It will take about an hour until it's ready to be eaten. As soon as the chicken meat is cooked, you must put in enough probably half spoons and the boiled eggs. These are the common ways of cooking Ethiopian doro wot, but if you like oily and shiny food like me, I would suggest to put in Ethiopian butter. At this point you should have everything being cooked all together for about 45 minutes, while putting water in it. At last it will be the spiciest and most delicious food you ever had.

I am a big fan of Ethiopian butter. It reminds me of my grandmother who would spend all day making this butter and she would put it in every food we ate, especially on holidays.. However, not everyone likes it. If you choose to put some in, mix it in very well. You be able to see the difference. By following these easy steps we can make tasty food for our family and friends.

“Bibimbap” is a traditional Korean food. It is cooked rice mixed together with vegetables, meat, fried egg, and a spoonful of red-pepper paste. ‘Bibim’ in Korean means mixing and ‘bap’ means cooked rice. Although bibibap is hot, it is a healthy food due to a lot of vegetables. Here is the way to make this famous Korean food.

The first step to make bibimbap is to prepare cooked rice. To make delicious rice, the amount of water and the strength of boiling temperature are important. After rinsing the rice, put the rice into the kettle and add the amount of water in about 1.2 times compared to rice. At first, heat the rice strongly until it boils vigorously, and then reduce the heat to a simmer and wait about 20-30 minutes. You can know the time to stop if you sniff.

After preparing cooked rice, you need to prepare vegetables, meat, and fried egg. Cut the vegetables such as cucumber, lettuce and carrot into small pieces. I like to add kimchi, which is also a famous Korean food, to the vegetables. For the meat, pre-cooked beef is usually used; however, you can use ham instead. For the fried egg, you fry it using a frying pan, but you’d better leave the egg yolk runny.
 
The next step is mixing the cooked rice, vegetables, meat, fried egg with red-pepper paste, kochujang. Kochujang is very hot, so if you don’t like hot food, you can use soy sauce instead.

The last step to make bibimbap is to add sesame oil. In Korean food, sesame oil is the magic ingredient. It adds a special flavor to foods and makes them delicious.

It is quite simple to make bibimbap. Just cook the rice, and prepare vegetables, meat, and fried egg. Then you mix these all with red-pepper paste, and finally add a spoonful of sesame oil.

Nowadays, many people enjoy going camping with their family to share time together. Oregon has great nature where people enjoy camping. There are several steps to going camping in Oregon.

The first step in going camping in Oregon is to get enough information on camping. The information can include why people go camping, where they go, what kinds of equipment is needed, and so on. For example, I explored some information on the Internet and asked some questions of my friend who had much experience camping. He strongly recommended that camping was very good for families and introduced a few places to go camping.

The next step is to get camping equipment. We should search stores, compare prices and performance, and finally purchase the necessary equipment. For instance, although some people tend to buy new camping equipment, I decided to get some used equipment from the Internet and Goodwill, because I could buy stuff cheaper there. In addition, my friend gave me sleeping bags.

The third step is to learn how to use the camping equipment. We should learn how to set up a tent, make a fire, etc. My friend taught me how to set up tent, make a fire, and so on. I practiced and practiced.

The last step is to select where to go camping with family, and just enjoy camping in Oregon with beautiful nature.  A few months ago, I decided to go to an Oregon coast camping area.  My family set up the tent and made a fire to roast beef together.  After that, we swam in the pool and played soccer. We really enjoyed camping.

It is easy to go camping with your family in Oregon, and camping with you family is an important way to share time with family members. Just make a plan, then your family will be happy.

How to Make Korean Noodles (Janchi Gooksoo)

What kind of Korean foods do you know? Kimchi? Bibimbap? Bulgogi? I’d like to introduce a Korean noodle dish called ‘Janchi Gooksoo’. It’s easy to cook and will please your palate. To my knowledge, my wife is the best chef for that food. I will give all of you a secret recipe that I have received from my wife, so you can make a delicious noodle dish in just a few easy steps.
The first step in making the noodles is gathering the ingredients. The step of gathering ingredients is important because it determines the overall taste of the noodle dish. The required ingredients are as follows: thin wheat noodles, anchovies, 1/4 onion, one tablespoon of soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds, powdered red pepper, a hint of crushed garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil, chopped green onion, chopped kimchi, and an egg. Don’t worry about how to get these ingredients. You can get all of this stuff at the Asian market called Sunrise Market located on west 29th Ave. in Eugene.
After gathering the ingredients, the next step is to cook using these ingredients. To begin with, you have to prepare the noodle broth. Boil water with the anchovies and 1/4 onion for 10 minutes. After boiling, add some soy sauce and reserve the liquid removing the onion and anchovies. This liquid is the noodle broth and we call itdashi’ in Korean.

 While preparing dashi, you should make a sauce called ‘Yangnyumjang’ in Korean. You can make Yangnyumjang by mixing one tablespoon of soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds, 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil, a hint of crushed garlic, chopped green onion, and powdered red pepper. Season it with salt, if needed.

After making the Yangnyumjang, boil the thin wheat noodles lightly. They don’t need as much time as Italian style pasta. After that, take out the boiled wheat noodles from the pot, cool them with cold water, and drain.

The last step is to garnish the noodle dish. Serve the boiled wheat noodles in an individual bowl and pour hot dashi over the noodles. Next, put the egg that is fried and sliced into thin strips, the chopped kimchi, and Yangnyumjang. According to your taste, you can sprinkle some pieces of Korean seaweed on top. Now, everything’s all set.

It’s simple to cook a Korean noodle dish called Janchi Gooksoo. Because there is no meat, this dish is perfect for vegetarians. I assure you that Janchi Gooksoo will tempt your jaded palate.

I have developed my own recipe for an unbaked cheesecake, and it turned out to be the best, most wonderful cheesecake I have ever made. This cake is easy to make and it is a no-bake cheesecake which doesn’t contain egg or flour. All my friends who tried using my recipe to make this cheesecake found it very handy, and it produces a delicious dessert you will love. It is a perfect combination of (50 grams) of graham crackers and (5 tbsp) of unsalted butter, two packs of Philadelphia cheese, whipping cream, double cream, pineapple cane, which is a mixture of small pineapple pieces with pineapple juice, and a homemade strawberry filling.
The first step is to put the graham crackers in a food blender to grind them, then put them in a large bowl with the melted butter and mix them together. Then put all of the grahams cracker mixture at the bottom of the cheesecake serving dish and gently press down on the crumbs using your fingers until you get a nice even layer at the bottom of the plate. After, put it in the bottom of the cake serving dish and gently press down on the crumbs using your fingers, until you get a nice even layer at the bottom of the plate and after put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
The second step is to place the Philadelphia cream cheese with the double cream and the whipping cream in the bowl of an electric mixer and mix them together until they get smooth and soft. Then mix a very small amount of the cut up pieces of pineapple with its juice in a blender until its mixed properly, then add it to the mixture of the cream cheese. Then pour the cream cheese filling over the layer of graham cracker and smooth the top and put it in the fridge for 20 or 30 minutes.
The last step is to put the ready-made strawberry filling on the top of the cream cheesecake and put the cheesecake in the fridge until its ready.
Finally, you will have a homemade delicious dessert which is smooth and creamy; it is the tastiest and most elegant way to end a meal. You should try doing this light and creamy unbaked cheesecake. It is very fast and easy to make which you will love to do for every special occasion.

         Healthy food is really important for everybody. A lot of people are overweight because they eat too much sugar and unhealthy food. Everybody knows being overweight is bad for health. Today, I want to write down a healthy Banana Bread recipe for others. The recipe is really easy and simple. Also, if you want to, you can teach your children.

        The first step to baking banana bread is to prepare some different ingredients. The ingredients are: 6 ripe bananas, 1/2 cup grape seed oil, 1 cup nuts, 3 cups whole wheat flour, 2 teaspoons baking soda, ½ teaspoon baking powder, 2 eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, ¼ cup milk, some dried fruit and ½ salt teaspoon. After that, we need to separate these ingredients. Mix the wet ingredients in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Mix all of the ingredients just until the flour disappears. Last, pour the batter into a prepared pan.

        The next step is to preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, and at the right time to check the bread. There are some tricks when you bake. Sometimes I put in the ingredients same way with the recipe, but the bread still has problems. Sometimes, the bread surface is perfect, but inside it still needs more time. When this happens, I usually put on parchment paper to cover the baking pan on the top until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Another thing depends on your oven’s temperature. Usually, the bread needs to bake 50 minutes.

        One of the last things is that you can decorate the bread however you want. My children really enjoy decorating the bread and cake. They can put on anything they want. They usually like to put on homemade frosting and fresh fruit. If you have children, then you should try. It is a really good activity with your children.

        This bread is really healthy and easy to make. You can reduce the sugar and oil.  Also, you can add your favorite ingredients. It is a really good and healthy breakfast in the morning.
